The Cannonbrook Farms Team

Reynolds Foster

Reynolds Foster, a native of Lexington, came into the horse world later than some. His first interactions with horses were at summer camps & volunteering with Central Kentucky Riding for Hope. Attending college at the University of Kentucky, he joined the first group of students in the newly established Equine Science & Management program. It was there he first met future wife, Amelia, in the process of completing his degree.

While in college, he started working at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in the Admissions Department, gaining experience in many aspects of the horse industry. From there he moved on to manage the Recipient Mare Farm, & after several seasons there, joined the team in the Podiatry Department as the Assistant Fabrication Specialist. He now manages sales for SoundHorse, the company which produces Sigafoo horse shoes, owned by Rood & Riddle.

During the Thoroughbred Sales season, he also works for well known Taylor Made Sales Agency. If you need a horse handled for vetting, he's your guy!

Grace Grider

Grace Grider is the Assistant Farm Manager for Cannonbrook Farms.

She is a Junior at the University of Kentucky, studying Biosystems Engineering & Agricultural Economics. Grace originally began competing in Western Dressage with Mimms Peppy Miracle, & eventually purchased her own horse, a 2019 American Warmblood filly named One Red Hot Gal, who is now the two-time American Warmblood Materiale Mare of the Year with USDF.

In November of 2024, Grace was awarded the prestigious Kentucky Dressage Association Jr/Yr $5,000 Grant, for continued equine education, & participation in clinics, lessons, & shows with One Red Hot Gal.

Melanie dedicated much of her riding career to the saddle seat discipline before transitioning to eventing in 2020. Her passion for horses began at the age of 3, attending horse camps & participating in weekly riding lessons, laying a strong foundation for her lifelong involvement in the equine industry. Melanie is looking forward to what the future holds!
